Shipping Policy
【Important Notice Regarding Our Shipping Location】
Please note that all orders are processed and shipped directly from our warehouse in Tokyo, Japan. While Southwick is a brand of proud American heritage, we do not ship from the United States.
Because your package will be dispatched internationally from Japan, your order may be subject to customs duties and local import taxes upon arrival. Please ensure you review Section 4 (Duties & Taxes) below before placing your order.
1. Order Processing & Shipping Time
(1) Handling Time:
As a general rule, upon receiving your order, we will verify product availability and process your shipment within 3 business days (72 hours). Please note that your order is not confirmed until a shipping confirmation email is issued. If an item is found to be out of stock during our verification process, we will notify you of the cancellation via email within 3 business days.
(2) Cut-off Time:
Orders placed after 3:00 PM JST (Japan Standard Time) will be processed as if placed on the next business day.
(3) Business Days:
Monday through Friday (JST), excluding Japan's national holidays and our scheduled shipping holiday.
(4) Delays:
Please note that we may experience backlogs during sale events, peak seasons, or due to unforeseen circumstances, which could result in shipping delays.
2. Domestic Shipping (Within Japan)
(1) Shipping Fee:
A flat rate of ¥330 (including tax) applies to all domestic orders. Free shipping is available for purchases of ¥10,000 (including tax) or more.
(2) Carrier & Shipping Method:
Orders will be delivered via Yamato Transport.
※Please note that a different shipping carrier may be used depending on the details of your order.
※Customers cannot specify the shipping method.
3. International Shipping
(1) Shipping Cost:
A flat rate of $100 USD will be charged per order.
(2) Carriers:
UPS or FedEx (selected by us based on destination and availability).
(3) Eligible Regions:
USA, Canada, France, UK, EU Member States, Australia, China, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, Bahrain, Colombia, and Russia.
(4) Limitation:
Please note that shipping is currently unavailable to any countries or regions not explicitly listed above.
4. Duties, Taxes, and Refusal of Delivery / Returns
(1) Duties & Taxes:
The recipient is responsible for all import duties, taxes (VAT, etc.), and customs fees incurred in the destination country. These fees are charged directly by the shipping carrier or the local customs agency at the time of delivery. Please note that we cannot provide specific information or estimates regarding the exact amounts of these duties and taxes.
(2) Costs Incurred by Returns & Right to Refuse Refund:
For both domestic and international orders, if a package is returned due to customer convenience (including refusal of delivery, absence, incorrect address, or refusal to pay duties), all incurred costs (actual shipping fees, return duties, and admin fees) will be deducted from the refund.
【IMPORTANT】
If a package is abandoned or destroyed by the carrier or customs agency due to the recipient's refusal to pay duties or other customer-related issues, we reserves the right to refuse the refund entirely.
(3) Reshipping:
If you request reshipping of a returned package, additional shipping fees will apply.
5. Risk of Loss & Force Majeure
(1) Transfer of Risk:
Risk of loss and title for all products pass to you upon our delivery of the items to the carrier (Yamato Transport, UPS, or FedEx). We shall not be held liable for any accidents, loss, theft, or damage occurring during transit after the items have been handed over to the carrier.
(2) Force Majeure:
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, strikes, pandemics, government regulations, or carrier service.
6. Shipping Multiple Items (Combined Shipments)
We do not offer split shipments. If your order contains multiple items with different delivery timelines (such as standard items and made-to-order items), all items will be shipped together in a single shipment once everything is ready. We will send a shipping confirmation email to you once your order has been dispatched.
7. Restrictions
(1) Freight Forwarders:
We do not ship to freight forwarding addresses. We are unable to provide support or assistance for orders shipped to such addresses.
(2) PO Boxes:
We may be unable to ship to PO Boxes for international orders. Please provide a physical street address.
8. Shipping Holidays
Shipping operations will be closed on Japanese national holidays and the New Year period (December 27 to January 5).
