Basic Function:
The Engineer, under minimum supervision, supports the manufacturing process through the development, implementation and monitoring of systems designed to improve workplace efficiency and layout, and enhance manufacturing methods and processes.
Essential Duties:
Knowledge:
College level knowledge of industrial engineering and manufacturing processes typically acquired through the attainment of a Bachelors Degree in industrial engineering; and a knowledge in the use of a personal computer are required.
Experience:
One year performing industrial engineering tasks in a manufacturing environment is required, and exposure to a total quality environment is desirable
Skills/Aptitudes:
Ability to deal with people at all organizational levels; attention to detail; and good administrative, analytical, mathematical, organizational, planning, problem solving and oral and written communication skills are required.
Working Conditions:
Office and plant environments. Extra hours are required.
